Purpose: for measuring or controlling the flow of liquid in heat pumps. The water flow detector is compatible with small and large pipes. It is used in SPA devices, water heating systems, water treatment equipment. The plastic flow switch with Teflon vane is made of PTFE plastic, with a long vane. • PTFE (Teflon) plastic • High performance in chemical and corrosive environments • Especially useful in SPA devices and seawater.

Suitable for water flow detection on pipes with diameters from 15 to 100 mm.

Water flow sensor MR-JX-02. Operating principle:

Balanced magnetic vane, installed perpendicular to the flow, which activates a gyratory switch through the wall. The return of the vane occurs by the action of the magnet, without a spring. Neither the seal nor the liquid can pass between the pipe system and the electrical contact. Suitable for swimming pools and spas with corrosive water, as well as for chlorination and bromination systems of salt water. Not for use with water containing magnetic particles or liquids with high viscosity, which can block the movement of the vane.

By changing the paddle Precise adjustment with a screwdriver on the inner dial (only on models with a junction box) MR-JX-02 water flow sensor is made of PPO, reinforced with glass fiber for pressure resistance, compatible with drinking water. Paddle: PPO, 12 mm wide, can be divided into 4 sections numbered 1 to 4 to adjust the pipe diameter. Pipe mounting: glass fiber reinforced union nut, ¾” BSPP, fixed on ¾” BSPP external thread connection, with gasket. Recommended tightening torque: 7±1 Nm. Gasket: NBR.

Electrical characteristics of the MR-JX-02 water flow sensor

Max. 1 A, max. 70 W, max. 250 V, resistive load. Use in inductive circuits reduces the electrical characteristics. It is recommended to protect the reed switch with a contact protection device when used with inductive loads. Electrical contact type: normally open, closes when the flow rate increases. Liquid compatibility: for use with clean water and liquids without magnetic particles and without chemical incompatibility with PPO and titanium. • Nominal pressure at 20°C: 1 MPa (PN10) • Liquid temperature range: 5–100°C • Ambient temperature range: 5–80°C • Degree of protection: IP65 • Calibration tolerances: +/-15% (at the working force of the vane at its end)

Water flow sensor MR-JX-02. Installation instructions:

Carefully check the orientation of the vane: the arrow on the housing must be parallel to the pipe. A minimum gap of 5 mm is required between the end of the vane and the pipe wall in front. It is recommended to use adapters whose length does not exceed 18 mm between the gasket washer and the inside of the pipe, with an internal diameter of at least 5 mm, to avoid blocking the vane. Accessories: ¾” PVC caps for PVC pipes DN40–DN100 and other fittings: see the last section of the catalogue. Options (minimum order requirements): cable with connector or plugs, different cable length, ¾” BSPP nickel-plated connection nut. Important note: for plastic pipes (PVC, PE), DN (nominal diameter) corresponds to the outer diameter and the wall thickness varies depending on the application. It is essential to take this into account to avoid blocking the vane. For metal pipes, the internal diameter corresponds to DN. The flow data refers to pipes with the corresponding internal diameter DN.
