    ALTAL offers professional plasma cutting services for metals. We utilize high-performance modern equipment capable of handling thicknesses ranging from 0.5 to 40 mm.
    The plasma cutting technology allows us to create contours of various geometries to meet any requirements, regardless of complexity. One of the main advantages of plasma cutting is the ability to process a wide range of metals and sheet thicknesses without surface defects. The edges are very smooth, and the finished parts can be assembled immediately without the need for additional finishing.

    The plasma cutting process involves melting and removing molten material through the thermal energy generated by the plasma arc. The quality and speed of plasma cutting are determined by the plasma-forming medium. This medium also influences the depth of the gas-saturated layer and the nature of the physicochemical processes at the cutting edges. For processing aluminum, copper, and their alloys, the following plasma-forming gases are used:

    ⚒  Compressed air;
    ⚒  Oxygen;
    ⚒  Nitrogen-oxygen mixture;
    ⚒  Nitrogen;
    ⚒  Argon-hydrogen mixture.

     
     


    Advantages:

    ⚙ Can cut all conductive materials. Gas cutting, while suitable for thick metals, is limited to ferrous metals;
    ⚙ Good quality for thicknesses up to 40 mm;
    ⚙ Can cut underwater, which reduces heat-affected zone (HAZ).
    ⚙ Low noise levels;
    ⚙ Smaller kerf compared to gas cutting;
    ⚙ Higher cutting speed than oxygen cutting.
