What is Enhanced Vapor Injection (EVI) technology?

Enhanced Vapor Injection (EVI) — is a method of increasing the saturation temperature/pressure difference between the evaporator and condenser, using an economizer and a secondary expansion valve. This technology allows for an increase in the outlet refrigerant temperature in heating mode (air or water). Reducing the saturation temperature in the evaporator (outdoor unit in heating mode) allows for the absorption of a greater amount of heat from the ambient air, even at low climate temperatures.

Heating the refrigerant to a superheated state before injection into the compressor increases the pressure and temperature at the compressor outlet, which in turn increases the temperature of the heat carrier at the condenser outlet.

Careful! No heat pump can work up to -25 °C without vapor injection function (EVI)!
